For years, Monique and Erwin van Vliet's lives were about horses 24/7. The non-stop hard work took its toll, and Erwin fell into a depression. The couple sold their ranch in WA, and travelled around Australia on horseback, to catch their breath. After more than 2.5 years, the couple arrived in the Northern Territory, where, last week, a big decision was made. The horses go back to WA, and Erwin will finish 'the lap' on a mountain bike. Monique explains why. - Jarenlang stond het leven van Monique en Erwin van Vliet 24/7 in het teken van paarden. Het non stop harde werken eiste zijn tol en Erwin raakte in een depressie. Het stel verkocht hun ranch in WA en trok te paard rond Australië om op adem te komen. Na ruim 2,5 jaar is het stel in de Northern Territory, waar de afgelopen week een grote beslissing werd gemaakt. De paarden gaan terug naar WA en Erwin maakt 'the lap' af op de mountainbike. Monique legt uit waarom.

New research from mental health provider Headspace shows young Australians who have what they call a problematic relationship to social media are struggling to disconnect due to a fear of missing out, or FOMO. The organisation's National Youth Mental Health Survey finds that one in three young people have a problematic relationship to social media while 51 per cent of respondents wanted to log off more often but felt pressured to keep up with online trends, news and politics. - Nu nieuws en achterklap 24 uur per dag doorgaat op internet, kan het moeilijk zijn je telefoon of table weg te leggen.
