Sinopse
Jamie Farang is a Canadian DJ that creates musical journeys by fusing melodic and progressive sounds with powerful rhythms and shamanic style acoustics creating a unique blend of techno and world house that keeps the floor moving for hours. It all began in Montreal at the age of 7, when he started listening to the sounds of MC Mario's late night Saturday mix while falling asleep . Since then, his passion of electronic music took him to where he is today; playing underground sounds and techno rhythms similar to the productions of Black Coffee, German Brigante, Medoti Hristov, Stan Kolev, Township Rebellion, Sam Paganini, Pan Pot and Victor Ruiz; as well as low key gypsy sounds of artists like Nicola Cruz, Nicolas Jar and Solomun; yet still enjoying the semi-commercial music of artists such as Eric Prydz and Eelke Kleijn.Jamie Farang has performed around the world at a number of different micro, and mid to large scale venues including festivals with a focus in North America and all around South East Asia; having played alongside reputable names in Electronica, Techno, and HouseHaving started his career in Western Canada over 10 years ago, Jamie was fortunate enough to have performed at all the major venues in the country, which eventually lead him to pursue new musical ambitions in South East Asia, and now Europe.Jaime Farang started off as a resident for notable brands in Canada such as IHM:International House Movement and INK Promotions (subsidiary of LiveNation), and is now a resident for the 5 Senses Music Festival in Asia since its inception. He is also one of the festivals' European liaisons for upcoming expansion. In addition, he has been performed at the notorious Full Moon Party in Thailand numerous times, both as a resident and later, as a special guest. In addition, he also represents the labels IHM Canada and Moon Island Records from the island of Koh Phangan in Thailand, which releases unique Phangan-style techno and house tracks produced by world famous artists. After living on the popular techno island of Koh Phangan in Thailand for the past 5 years, otherwise known as "Asia's answer to Ibiza", Jamie Farang is now residing on the sunny island of Mallorca in Spain where he feels he can bring his unique sounds to a larger audience.
