Here is his trip report. My attendance at the EuroBSDCon 2017 conference in Paris was sprinkled with several 'firsts'. My first visit to Paris, my first time travelling on a EuroTunnel Shuttle train and my first time at any BSD conference. Hopefully, none of these will turn out to be 'lasts'. I arrived on the Wednesday afternoon before the conference started on Thursday morning. My hotel was conveniently located close to the conference centre in Paris' 3rd arrondissement. This area is well-known as a buzzy enclave of hip cafes, eateries, independent shops, markets, modern galleries and museums. It certainly lived up to its reputation. Even better, the weather held
