Run Coaches Lisa Tamati and Neil Wagstaff talk about using a checklist to check in with your body everyday and learning to gauge from that your body's preparedness for your training sessions. Training programmes shouldn't be arbitrary but rather take into account your daly performance ability according to your ratings on different aspects of your life. For example how do you rate your hydration, your sleep quality and time, your stress levels, your nutrition today etc etc  They teach using the data to assess your ability on a day to day basis. We don't live in a vacuum and most of us have other stressors that have to be balanced in our lives. Learning to understand our body's signals and rhythms will mean we get better fitness results not to mention more health benefits.
