Nichols pays tribute to some of his favorite songs from the "power pop" era as he reflects and opens up about some hard truths regarding his life after his 46th birthday. For the uninformed, "Power Pop" is a musical style that gets its inspiration from the British and American pop and rock music from the sixties. The style uses strong melodies, vocal harmonies with simple arrangements and solid drum beats and guitar riffs. The production sound is also highly compressed.
