On this episode, we’ll be talking about the PR nightmare that was the Spalding theory as it embodied a new resurgence in the public eye. Spalding’s wife, Matilda Davison, and Hingepin Sidney Rigdon went at it in a public letter exchange where she laid out the theory claiming the Book of Mormon came from her late husband’s fiction and Rigdon responds with ad hominem attacks and blatant lies.
