Remake This Movie Right! Remaking Classic Films For Modern Audiences

Remake This Movie RIGHT began as a tiny nugget of fun on The Hollywood Outsider Podcast, where we would randomly recast popular classic films with updated actors, just to see who could come up with the craziest scenario. That grew into an idea I wanted to explore: what if, using the podcast medium, we had a show that celebrated both the good and the bad of any given film, and then instead of the hosts just bashing everything for laughs, we instead applied that fan magic to creating the modern film that we would WANT to see. It seemed like a no-brainer, and by using various hosts instead of the same three every week, it also struck me as special. More importantly, it was original.  Therefore I created Remake This Movie RIGHT! I definitely didn’t come up with every idea on my own. I collaborated with close friends and fellow podcasters Troy Heinritz and Brian Williams on how to make the format the best it could be, which meant of course bringing in our own voice talent in Mr. Wayne Henderson – courtesy of Media
