Contact Visits was founded by Lamont Carey on June 7, 2001.  The vision to form this company was birthed while Lamont was serving his own multi-year prison term. When preparing for release, Mr. Carey took classes in business management and non-profit management, marketing, accounting, finance, and other business-related topics. Additionally, he was offered stress and anger management, decision- making, substance abuse prevention, life skills, and other courses related to preparing to re-enter society that he felt were not effective. Mr. Carey’s first responsibility with Contact Visits was to develop more effective programs to address the needs and issues surrounding soon-to-be released felons, ex-convicts, and troubled youth.
