We spoke to James Smith, known as the Crafty Pint, he is one of the founders of Melbourne's Good Beer Week, recently published author, founder of Australia's "craft beer rising" and busy family man. We spoke to Dave from Mountain Goat. We discussed recent media attention for good beer, the CBIA awards, then spoke about about the goings on at the brewery, learned about their Australian tours, barrel ageing and the challenges of being one of Australia's pioneers of good beer. We have to apologise for the audio in this one, one of the microphones was having some clipping issues which we fixed up as best we could. 

We spoke to Matt Houghton from Boatrocker Brewery in Braeside (Melbourne). We spoke about their beers both new and old, their barrel program, what goes into a sour beer and got great insight into starting a brewery. We spoke to Michael Fairbrother from Moonlight Meadery, and spoke all things mead, how it’s made, a short history and even got a great insight into the future of meads. Some good conversation about Wellington, Beervana and NZ and Australian beer.

Luke and Dave discuss IPA day and it's ilk. We discussed IPA further and what constitutes an IPA and what names mean on beer labels. We also discussed reviewing and critiquing beers. Our main discussion was about sexism in beer labels and what might constitute something sexist (in our eyes). Lots of beers mentioned and some were had. It's a long episode but worth the journey. We discussed their beer, brand, venue, contract brewing, and the beers themselves.
