Olympic fever has hit and we've got a lot to discuss specifically the Simone Biles controversy. Should we respect her need to take care of her mental health or did she let her team and country down? We also discuss the second installment of Batman: The Long Halloween and what lessons Warner Bros. live action films could learn from it.  Snake Eyes failed at the box office, but should that limit future live-action installments of GI Joe? Finally, we talk about the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer.  

This episode I'm looking at why Snake Eyes failed to make much of a dent at the box office. With a second place finish behind M. Night Shymalan's Old, and a meager $15 million opening weekend gross, the future of more G.I. Joe live action films isn't looking great. I break down why that was inevitable and how it could have been avoided.  Not to be outdone, Warner Bros. makes some baffling decisions with the handling of the Constantine character in Legends of Tomorrow thanks to the character's emergence in the HBO Max universe.  Also, we've got some news on the Black Widow's Blu Ray release. 

I'm taking an extensive look at all of the WWE reveals from the Mattel 2021 Comic Con at Home panel. From WWE Legends to the new lines of Ultimate Edition Legends, WWE Superstars and the final installment of Masters of the Universe WWE, I'm breaking it all down.  There's plenty of big Elite figures coming and some unexpected reveals as well.  And I've definitely got some thoughts on the WWE New Generation Ultimate Edition crowdfunding project and its likelihood for success. 

I try and make sense of how we still haven't gotten a great G.I. Joe movie in the wake of the disaster that was Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins. We also break down the season finale of The Flash and what we hope to see for Season 8. We also talk about why Superman and Lois remains such a great watch. With Kate Beckinsale saying she'd love to do an Underworld and Blade crossover, we discuss what movie crossovers we want to see?

I'm back with another installment of Figure Files with a look at the HasLab Marvel Legends Galactus figure.  It's a big week of GI Joes with the reveal of the Super7 cartoon inspired GI Joes, the Hasbro Classified Series Deluxe Zartan and the Mattel Ultimate Edition Sgt. Slaughter based on his GI Joe attire.  Plus, Storm Collectibles news, Prince Bride figures coming from McFarlane Toys and more. 

We had a lot to talk about this week from Loki, The Flash, Space Jam: A New Legacy and Resident Evil? First up, we break down The Flash's season finale part 1. Why are Barry and Iris so children-crazed? Does no one care about the time continuity and these random future children Bart and Nora. Naturally, we were hyped to discuss the Loki season finale and what these developments mean for the future of Marvel Studios' Phase 4. A discussion on the Dream Team We also dish on our excitement level for Space Jam: A New Legacy. Somehow this leads to an impromptu breakdown of the Resident Evil films and what worked and what didn't work with the Milla Jovovich franchise.

Loki remains one of the best projects from Marvel Studios since Avengers: Endgame. We discuss the latest episode and what could be building for the season finale.  The Flash is heading in the opposite direction and we talk about why things have gone so wrong lately for the series.  On the movies front, we break down our thoughts on Black Widow,  Tomorrow War and The Forever Purge.

With recent DC movie news with Robert Pattinson's Batman, Michael Keaton shown on set as Batman and more DC news, the fellas discuss why DC and Warner Bros. just won't give fans what they want.  From the curious Superman decisions to the new hashtags for a return to Ben Affleck's Batman, we question what's so hard about delivering what your paying customers want to support with their money. 

Jayce and I break down the shocks and twists of the latest episode of Loki with The Nexus Event. How shocking was the outcome of this episode? We talk about what we hope to see as the Disney+ series nears its home stretch.  We also touch on The Tomorrow War from Amazon and its potential effect on the streaming wars. We're saving our Black Widow review for next week, but we do discuss it briefly as well as some of the fallout for the next phase of Marvel Studios.

The Fast and Furious franchise is back with F9: The Fast Saga. We break down why this is the franchise succeeded and what lessons it took from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to become one of the strongest and enduring at the box office.  Along with F9, Black Widow looks to be the box office salvation needed for theaters. Will Marvel Studios ultimately end up not prioritizing Scarlet Johansson's character in earlier standalone films? Kevin Feige still doesn't want us to have Blu-Rays of the Disney+ Marvel shows. Does that matter in a streaming landscape? The Transformers film series is rolling out with a seventh installment featuring Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons. We discuss our hopes for this new film and when we originally stopped being so fascinated with the series. 

I'm going through the big leaks from Mattel's WWE line with the latest rumors on the WWE Legends line.  Hasbro revealed an updated Sandman that already has me excited about other potential sized down Marvel Legends figures.  And I break down some likely reveals in store for the GI Joe Classified Series line from the Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins movie. Finally, I break down the McFarlane Toys Batman 66 reveals from the weekend and the possibilities from this line. 

After the In the Heights controversy, we discuss the responsibilities of minority filmmakers to include every demographic in their film.  I sing the high praises of the fantastic Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One from Warner Bros. Animation. The guys have a long debate about the controversy with the Batman/Catwoman canceled sex reference on Harley Quinn.  Social media is also upset about Supergirl being dismissed on Superman and Lois. Plus tune in to find out how you can get free passes to Pierce Brosnan's new movie, The Misfits.  What do the boys think about the not-so shocking news of NBC cancelling Manifest?

I'm breaking down the latest NXT TakeOver In Your House 2021. Here's my take on the Fatal Five Way for the NXT Championship featuring Karrion Kross defending against Pete Dunne, Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly. What'd I think about Raquel Gonzalez defending her NXT Women's Title against Ember Moon and William Regal's declaration that it's time for a change?

This was a busy and reveal filled week for figure collectors of multiple lines and I break them down in this action figure focused installment. Hasbro and Target seem to have finally figured out the mystery of stocking the G.I. Joe Classified Series - Assault on Cobra Island figures. And there's reasons for optimism with the line as a whole as more figures appear to be readily available. For those who initially missed out, Hasbro is also revisiting the Rogue One figures from the Star Wars The Black Series line along with a few new additions.

Chief was thrilled and excited to finally come together so we could watch A Quiet Place Part II. We break down our shared experience watching the year's biggest horror thriller. Was it fun being back in the theater again? We also break down Chris Harrison's departure from The Bachelor franchise, the major events that led to his extended hiatus from the series and why ABC ultimately decided not to give Harrison the final rose. What do the boys think of the announced co-hosts for Bachelor in Paradise including Lil Jon, Lance Bass and Titus Burgess? And Rob Zombie is directing The Munsters? John Wick 4 has some very intriguing new cast members and Jayce is arguing that Batwoman has become a better show than The Flash. How did that happen?

After a technical snafu last week, we're back for another take on our special milestone episode 200. We break down some new items like Jupiter's Legacy getting cancelled from Netflix and the latest host reveal for Bachelor in Paradise.  For most of the episode we break down some superlatives with our best of the best with Best Ensemble, Sports Film, Movie of 2021 (so far), TV pilot and The Best Villain.  We couldn't have gone this far without you so thanks for continuing to listen and spreading the word about the show. We're planning to crank out another 200 episodes stronger than the last round.

After the release of the Snake Eyes G.I. Joe Origins trailer left me a little wanting, I tried to break down my concerns with this latest Joe movie.  And because I hate to be that guy that just complains, I offered a suggestion for how G.I. Joe could be done right as an animated series on say Amazon Prime.
