 It’s Valentine’s Day and, appropriately enough, the topic of discussion continues to be marriage today, as Lloyd Pulley continues his series, “Finding Rest” Today’s message was originally shared at a marriage seminar at Calvary Chapel of Miami.

God’s word sets forth very specific roles for marriage too, and we have got to really understand what He’s saying in order to have a Godly marriage. Today we continue enjoying a look back at the most requested messages pastor Lloyd Pulley shared in the year 2022. in our series in First Corinthians, we discovered something that pastor Lloyd pointed out numerous times during this series - the church in Corinth was facing some of the same issues our world and our church faces today.

We are currently sharing the most requested messages Lloyd shared in 2022, and today we’ll be looking at something a lot of Hermeneutics experts are looking closely at these days - Gog and Magog. Who are they? Where are they? Are they a threat to God’s people and His Kingdom? With everything going on in the world right now, we need to be sure we are up to date on this important subject.

Pastor Lloyd has said it many times here on Bridging the Gap - the bible has a one hundred percent accuracy rate when it comes to prophecy. Everything the bible says would happen has happened, so we can be confident that the future events it predicts will indeed happen. Today, we’ll begin with a look at Ezekiel and the predictions the prophet made about Gog and Magog.

We have just begun looking back ate the most requested messages from 2022. When we go through a great loss, there can be a tendency within us to turn bitter, and Naomi did at first. But she turned back to God.  Today we’re going to lift our eyes above the difficult circumstances, and see God’s bigger picture.

We can all remember times when we have felt at the end of our rope, and discouraged by what’s going on around us.  In Ruth, we find a woman named Naomi who lost all she had in her life. All those that were important to her had perished. Except one, a daughter-in-law who later continued the line of David, Solomon, and Jesus. It’s a story of faith, loyalty and great romance.

Today pastor Lloyd Pulley brings our series through First Corinthians to a close, and what a fruitful journey it has been. The book of First Corinthians is high on most lists of the most important books in the bible. One reason for that is the practical way Paul deals with the issues facing the church in Corinth. And as we have gone through this amazing book, we realize that the Corinthians faced many of the same issues we face in the year 2023. Let’s join pastor Lloyd now in chapter sixteen, to bring us the final message in our series through First Corinthians.

Pastor Lloyd Pulley takes us to First Corinthians sixteen today, for a message titled “Practical Expressions of Love”.  Here we find a series of short commands the Apostle Paul shared with the church in Corinth, describing the ways we show authentic love for our brothers and sisters in Christ. 

 As pastor Lloyd has mentioned often on this program, saying “I love you”, and showing “I love you” are two very different things. Paul concerns himself with that truth in the final chapter of First Corinthians.

We begin a study in the final chapter of First Corinthians today, and pastor Lloyd is going to challenge us to not just talk about love, but to also walk about love! One of the ways we show our love for others is in giving of our finances.

Pastor Lloyd Pulley is going to talk today about living life with a heavenly perspective, and how as Christians, we can overcome a lot of the  trials in life by keeping eternity at the forefront of our thoughts. We begin in First Corinthians chapter fifteen. 

Today we consider a very important question - where would we be if Jesus Christ had not resurrected from the grave? Have you ever thought about that? It’s a provable fact that there resurrection took place, so we may tend to take it for granted, but let’s consider the significance of the resurrection today. The apostle Paul dealt with this at the end of First Corinthians chapter fifteen.

What’s the most significant event in all of human history? The answer to that question is easy - the resurrection of Jesus Christ. That miraculous event, some two thousand years ago, turned a world condemned to eternal torture, to a world with the hope of eternal life with our Lord in heaven. Today, pastor Lloyd talks once again about the significance of there resurrection, as we study First Corinthians chapter fifteen.

If the bible isn’t true, we are in a world of trouble. But we can rest easy, because the bible - the inspired word of God - is one hundred percent true. Today, Lloyd will tie biblical inerrancy to the most important event in human history - the resurrection of Christ. 

Today we continue Lloyd’s verse by verse series through the book of First Corinthians. Lloyd is going to share one final message in chapter thirteen, one of the best known chapters in all of scripture. The subject, of course, is love, and more specifically, the characteristics of Godly love. 

Today, pastor Lloyd will continue his series in First Corinthians with another message based in chapter thirteen, the “love” chapter. God’s definition of love is what we are concerned with, and as you know, God’s definition differs quite a bit from man’s.
