Bridging The Gap

What would you say you’re known for? Maybe it’s your accomplishments at work, or maybe your wealth? Some are known for being a gossip or an angry, bitter person. But wouldn’t it be nice to be known as a loving person? That’s actually what should characterize the Christian and today on Bridging the Gap we’ll be encouraged to have the same loving attitude as Christ.

The city of Corinth was engaged in idolatry big time. You can see why the Apostle Paul felt the urgency to get the Gospel to them. He wanted them to put their hope in the One who made men, rather than in things made by man.

Everyone knows that athletes must subject themselves to physical training in order to prepare their bodies to be successful in their chosen sport. As we’re about to see in our study of First Corinthians nine, the Apostle Paul uses this as an illustration to explain that the Christian life requires hard work.
