It is probably safe to say we live in some divided times. You can feel it in our society, communities, and nation. Unfortunately, because we are so divided we tend to group together with those who agree with us and push those who don’t agree further away. This can lead to demonizing, and more division rather than healthy dialogue and fruitful disagreement, but is there another way forward? Thankfully, we have Jesus as our model who was no stranger to disagreeing with others. Jesus lived among those who were wildly different from Him, yet people were still drawn to Him because of the unconditional love and grace He offered to everyone! That same Jesus is inviting us to join Him in the same journey. How do I best align my vote with God's kingdom? We can't answer that question for you. You actually have to wrestle with it on your own. What we're encouraging you to do is wrestle with it in an informed way. As a follower of Jesus, as a citizens of heaven, we bear the responsibility to bring every area of our life and our thoughts to the person of Jesus.
