07/03/2022 Duração: 08min35% drop in the number of properties for sale in Leicester in the last 12 months. 1,532 Leicester homes have sold (stc) in the last three months alone, taking the time from the ‘for sale board’ going up to sale agreed to a median of 30 days. The £200k to £300k price range in Leicester is the most active, where it only takes 26 days to sale agreed, but under £100k is taking 50 days. Yet, what issues cause the people of Leicester to want to move home and what can Leicester people, who want to move in 2022, do to ensure they sell and find the home of their dreams? There are 1,299 properties for sale today in Leicester; roll the clock back exactly a year, and the figure was 1,995 – there’s been a drop of 35%. This drop is being dubbed ‘for sale board crunch’.

Has Leicester Become Too Densely Populated
06/09/2019 Duração: 05minHas England’s green and pleasant land all of a sudden become England’s green and overcrowded land? With the nation’s ever-increasing population and the double whammy that people are now living longer, this means as each year goes by, there is an ever-growing strain on public services and in particular my favourite topic – housing. It’s no wonder some people are saying things are at crisis point when it comes to infrastructure (like roads, schooling etc) and in particular housing. I hear it all the time, people complaining that Leicester looks like a building site and, we are packing people in like sardines into our Leicester homes. Yet I wanted to find out exactly what the truth was. Want to know more? If you would like more information about buying, selling, letting a home in Leicester and Leicestershire, please feel free to drop me a line @ luke.stclair@knightsbridge-estates.co.uk or call me 07917 899 495.

How Many Leicester Homeowners Have Paid Their Mortgage off?
28/08/2019 Duração: 03minThe Government’s Annual Housing Survey is 50 years old this year. It has taken a snap shot of the UK’s property market every year since 1969 and in the recently published report for 2018, it wasn’t a surprise that owner occupation is still the most predominant tenure, yet now more people own their home without a mortgage rather than having a mortgage as the number people buying their first home (obviously with a mortgage) has declined since the Millennium. The report also shows homeowners (mortgaged and owned outright) are, on average, older than renters and between the homeowners themselves, those who are mortgage free are older than those with a mortgage. Want to know more? If you would like more information about buying, selling, letting a home in Leicester and Leicestershire, please feel free to drop me a line @ luke.stclair@knightsbridge-estates.co.uk or call me 07917 899 495.
