Bridging The Gap

We’re going to be in the gospel of Mark, chapter five today, as we continue Lloyd’s series called “Personal Encounters with Jesus”. Today we’ll once again concern ourselves with a demon possessed man, and the miraculous healing power of Jesus Christ.

Today, pastor Lloyd takes us to chapter five of Mark’s Gospel.  He points us to an interesting confrontation between Jesus and a demon possessed man.  We don’t know exactly how many demons were in this man, but obviously he was in tremendous torment.  But at his hour of greatest need, Jesus delivered him and brought new life and words of great encouragement.

Without some level of authority - society could not exist. So it’s critical to have authority over us and be in submission to it. Not only in society but also more importantly in our relationship with God. That’s our focus today on Bridging the Gap with pastor Lloyd Pulley.  On ur last broadcast - we began looking at the remarkable insight a Roman centurion had on the authority of Jesus.

Today on Bridging the Gap, pastor Lloyd Pulley we’ll learn about a faith that’s well placed. That is a faith that’s in God and His word. Can’t do any better than that! In Luke chapter seven - we see the encounter Jesus had with a Centurion, whose beloved servant was near death. Today’s message is part of a new mini-series from pastor Lloyd titled “Personal Encounters With Jesus”. 

 I think we sometimes have such an enormous view of Jesus that we tend to forget what a personal God He is. He cares about us individually. He loves us individually. He created us individually! We are looking at some of the best known encounters the Lord had with the people He encountered and today we’ll again look at the woman who came to Jesus in desperation, because her daughter was demon possessed.

Today Lloyd begins a new mini-series titled “Personal Encounters With Jesus”, with a study in Matthew, chapter fifteen. Here we find a woman with a terrible problem - her daughter is possessed by a demon, and she is coming to Jesus in desperation.

Last time, pastor Lloyd Pulley shared from Genesis two, and how God created the first man and woman, Adam and Eve. Today, we will continue looking at that creation.  Men and women are different, to be sure, but why are they different, and where do those differences begin and end? Well, God knew what He was doing, so let’s pay close attention to today’s look at the creation of man and woman.

Today on Bridging the Gap, we go on the offensive through a study of Genesis one! 

Maybe like a lot of people you’re wondering how in the world we got here?  Was there some sort of an explosion caused by random chance that sprung creation into existence or is there a creator behind it all?  Well you’re not likely to get the right answer by opening the science books being read in the public schools, but you will by turning to Genesis chapter one!

Today we resume our look back at the most requested messages from 2023, with a study in Genesis, chapter three and the fall of man.  Sin is so frequently portrayed today as enjoyable, exciting and fulfilling.  Rarely are we told of its consequences.  God wants the very best for us, and He knows that sin will destroy our lives, so throughout His Word He shows us what it will do to us.  Genesis chapter three is one of those places, and that’s where we join pastor Lloyd now for more about sin’s consequences and the hope that is found in Christ.

Today we will be considering Genesis chapter three, and satan’s dealings with Eve.  The devil’s first tactic was to tempt Eve to doubt the word of God. Now he’s going to try to get her to doubt the goodness of God.  Sound familiar?  He’s up to the same old tricks today isn’t he!
