Bridging The Gap

We’re midway through a mini-series on prayer, and today pastor Lloyd will again urge us to be persistent in our prayer life. God has promised us some very wonderful things when we pray, but those wonderful things are contingent upon us approaching Him with the right attitude.

Today on Bridging the Gap, we’ll examine the best way to communicate..... with God the Father, through our representative, Jesus Christ. Pastor Lloyd Pulley is currently sharing a series on the subject of prayer, and today he will remind us of something that should make all of us want to stop what we are doing and praise God - no problem is too small for God to care about, and no problem is too large for God to do something about! 

Today, we’ll begin a new series on prayer. It’s a funny thing about prayer. It’s so very commonplace among Christians, yet our prayers are so often ineffectual. Why is that? Maybe we just don’t know how to pray right - or more accurately how to pray the way the Lord would want us to. That’s what this series is all about - learning to be more effective in our prayer life.

If you’ve been with us recently, you know that our current topic of discussion is the Holy Spirit, and spiritual gifts. Today, we’re going to cover what pastor Lloyd calls the “Ministry Gifts”. Now, the key thing to keep in mind as we look at this particular gift is, it should never be used or attempted to be used as a means of glorifying ourselves. Spiritual gifts are for the Lord’s glory - EXCLUSIVELY!!!

Every one of us has a spiritual gift - maybe even more than one. The task before us is to discover what that gift is. Where do the answers lie? They lie in the pages of the Bible, and that’s where pastor Lloyd will take us today as we bring you another message from his series on the Holy Spirit, and  spiritual gifts.

Today we’ll continue a series centered around the gifts of the Spirit. This area of study can be controversial. There are those who say you aren’t saved unless you’ve been “baptized in the Holy Spirit”. There are those who say the gifts of the Spirit are no longer active. Who’s right? Pastor Lloyd will answer many of these questions coming up, so turn to First Corinthians chapter twelve and join us.

Today we’ll begin a look at the gifts of the Spirit. How many gifts of the Spirit are there? Opinions are varied, as you might guess. There are some that are well known, such as tongues, prophecy, and the like. But there are many others that you might not have considered, and that you might actually possess! 

Today on Bridging the Gap, pastor Lloyd Pulley continues his new series on the Holy Spirit with a look at one of the most difficult things about the Holy Spirit for us to understand the fact that The Holy Spirit is a person. How can a Spirit be a person? On the surface, it doesn’t make any sense, but stay with us, because pastor Lloyd will make it all clear and understandable. 

If you are a Christian, you have a person in your life called The Holy Spirit. That’s right – He is a person. A lot of people have a difficult time understanding that. Today’s message is designed to answer the questions we have all asked about the person of the Holy Spirit.

The title of today’s message is “Led By The Spirit”. Now, those four words perfectly capture what our goal should be as Christians - to be led by the Holy Spirit, but what does that entail? Sounds like a rather lofty goal, doesn’t it?.  We’ll begin our journey today in Romans eight. 

On today’s program, we continue pastor Lloyd’s new series on the Holy Spirit. I’m sure you have some very important people in your life. Your spouse, if you’re married. Your kids, your parents, the list goes on. But if you are a Christian, you also have a person in your life called The Holy Spirit. That’s right – He is a person. A lot of people have a difficult time understanding that. This series is designed to answer the questions we have all asked about the person of the Holy Spirit. 

Pastor Lloyd will share some more truths today concerning the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There are those who say you’re not really a saved Christian unless you display these gifts. There are those who say the gifts of the Spirit are not even relevant anymore. Who’s right? Who’s wrong? God’s word is where we’ll go for the answers, so join us.

Today’s topic on Bridging the Gap is the Holy Spirit. When I say “The Gifts of the Holy Spirit”, immediately there are those who think something controversial is about to follow. There have been heated debates over the years concerning these gifts, but I think if you’ll join us over the next several broadcasts, much of that controversy will be resolved.  We’ll begin our journey today in John 16:5

Today we bring to a close pastor Lloyd’s series on spiritual warfare, titled “Spiritual Warfare 101”. The final aspect of our spiritual armor that Paul discussed in Ephesians six was prayer. Now, I realize that prayer isn’t necessarily connected with spiritual warfare, but if you understand what prayer is supposed to be then it makes perfect sense that communicating with God is a great way to combat our spiritual enemy.

Pastor Lloyd Pulley will continue his series on spiritual warfare today, as we again open our bibles to Ephesians six. Prayer will be the topic today - something you might not consider when talking about spiritual warfare. Paul ends his instruction on spiritual warfare by imploring the Ephesians to pray

In Ephesians chapter six, the Apostle Paul addressees the schemes of our enemy, satan. Today, pastor Lloyd Pulley continues our series on spiritual warfare by looking a couple of very important pieces of our spiritual armor - our helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, and the ways we can use them to defeat our enemy.

Today, Lloyd will take us to Ephesians six, verse seventeen, where we discover two very important parts of our spiritual armor - our helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit. One is a defensive item - a helmet, but the other is an offensive weapon - the sword.

On today’s program we continue our series on spiritual warfare with a message based on Ephesians chapter six, verse sixteen. In this verse, Paul mentions the “shield of faith”. Exactly what is Paul talking about here? Well, we all know that in ancient times, a shield is pretty much the only thing that stood between a soldier and certain death. Our shield of faith serves the same purpose, from a spiritual point of view.

On today’s program we’ll bring you another message from pastor Lloyd’s new series on spiritual warfare, and we will be concentrating on two key key pieces of spiritual armor, our shoes of peace, and our shield of faith. 

Christians need the proper protection and armor, as we battle every day with satan. His goal is to separate us from our relationship with God. He’ll do just about anything to be successful. What’s the right kind of armor for us? That’s the subject of our current series - spiritual warfare!
